Weaving St. Brigid’s crosses
An opportunity to learn the skill of weaving a St. Brigid’s cross.
Venue: Kildare Town Heritage Centre

Brigid’s Eve Ritual at St. Brigid’s Well
A pilgrimage of quiet reflection, song and prayer on the eve of springtime.
Assemble: Japanese Gardens’ car park at 7.20 p.m.

Saturday, February 1st – Lá Fhéile Bhríde – St. Brigid’s Day
A Walk in the Footsteps of St. Brigid
Assemble in the Market Square at St. Brigid’s Flame for a
guided walk, revisiting the ancient monastic sites of Kildare Town.

Aontas: Adult Learners Festival ‘Social Media for Silver Surfers’

Clodagh Maher will hold computer classes aimed at library members 55+ which will explore online services such as booking flights / paying motor tax etc. and social media such as facebook / twitter / skype.

Dr. Patrick Claffey, Assistant Adjunct Professor of World Religions, Trinity College Dublin will give a power-point presentation and lecture. Dr Claffey’s areas of speciality are in World Christianities and in Asian Religions. He is currently President of the Irish Society for the Academy Study of Religions (ISASR).
